Motorcyclist killed in crash on Black Horse Pike with lowboy tractor trailer

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – Gloucester Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on the Black Horse Pike on Thursday.

According to the Gloucester City Police:

On Thursday, March 11, 2021, at approximately 7:40 am, Officers from the Gloucester Township Police Department were dispatched to the Black Horse Pike in the area of Clementon Avenue for a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.


The motorcycle was traveling northbound on the Black Horse Pike and struck a lowboy tractor trailer that was moving equipment from a construction site. The motorcyclist, an adult male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained on location.

The Black Horse Pike was closed between Almonesson Road and Church Street for several hours during the initial stages of the investigation. The investigation is being conducted by the Gloucester Township Police Serious Crash Investigation Team (SCIT).

The names of the drivers are not being released at this time pending the completion of the investigation.
