Man shot dead in Charlestown

BOSTON, Mass. – A man has been shot dead at a Mystic Place home in Charlestown.

Police reported that at about 3:21 AM on Saturday, officers assigned to District A-15 in Charlestown responded to a radio call for a person shot inside of 6 Mystic Place.

“Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Boston EMS arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased,” the department said. “The victim has been identified as Jawad Muhammed, 33, of Mattapan.”


The Boston Police Department said in a statement, itis actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and is asking anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
