Portland man shot by family member recovering in hospital

A man is in the hospital with serious injuries after being shot by a family member.

On Friday, March 26, 2021 at 12:53a.m., East Precinct officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the 13400 Block of Southeast Division Street. They located an adult male with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital by ambulance where he was treated for serious injuries. The injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

The suspect was detained nearby. The Portland Police Special Victims Unit responded to investigate. Detectives booked Jamarea M. Ford, 25, into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of Assault in the First Degree-Domestic Violence.
