Man blocking traffic stabbed woman’s son, confronted by husband with gun

ANNE ARUNDEL CO – A woman driving down the road with her adult son was stopped by a man standing in the middle of the street and blocking traffic.

Today, the Anne Arundel County Police Department held a press conference to alert the public to the incident.

The man then approached the car, breaking the driver’s side mirror, and stuck his head into the vehicle. The man then started yelling at the man who was claiming the woman hit her with the car. She immediately called 9-1-1 and her son got out of the vehicle to check on the man.

As he approached, the man stabbed the passenger and the victim ran off. back to his home, and returned to the scene to stab the son a second time. The husband of the woman driving the car saw what was happening from his home and came out of the house with a gun.


The suspect then walked down Campus Green Drive toward Anne Arundel Community College. Police approached the suspect holding a knife, covered in blood.

After telling the man to get on the ground, he refused and was tased. He was able to rip the prongs out of his clothing and drew his knife on the cop. Another cop drove to the scene and tapped the suspect with his patrol vehicle.

The victim is being treated for serious injuries but is expected to survive.

Police said as of now there is no motive.
