Body of missing Emmy-winning set decorator found dead under apartment debris

Evelyn Sakash, 66, has been missing since September, but on Tuesday, was found dead in he Queens apartment. Madelina Hartling started a GoFundMe account, raising $8,700 to help her pay for the costs associated with finding her sister.

“Dearest loved ones of Evelyn. Our beautiful sister Evelyn was found deceased in her home yesterday, Tuesday March 30th. At this time, a cause of death has not been determined,” her sister said.

Her sister, Ellen Brown had hired a cleaning company to clean Sakash’s apartment and found her body under a pile of debris in her kitchen. Sakash won a 2003 Daytime Emmy for the PS series “Between the Lions”.
