Donut shop robber not very good at his job

COLUMBUS, OH – A man robbed the beloved Columbus Buckeye Donuts on South High Street this week and now he’s being sought by police.

It wasn’t a very good robbery. He made off with $10 and is now facing robbery charges.

According to the Columbus Police Department, on March 25th, at 5:36 pm, this suspect entered Buckeye Donuts at 1363 S. High St.

The suspect ordered donuts and handed the employee $10. When the cash register door opened, the suspect reached behind the counter and stole all the cash…. a whopping $20 including the $10 he gave the employee!

A witness saw the suspect getaway in a blue Chevy S10 pickup driven by another male. No word if the suspect got away with the donuts.

Anyone with info the suspect’s identity is asked to contact Det. Martin at 614-645-1436 or jmartin@columbuspolice.org.
