Man shot multiple times Easter morning in Cherry Hill

CHERRY HILL, NJ – Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in Cherry Hill, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Cherry Hill Police Chief William “Bud” Monaghan. Police were called to the 1700 block of Abbey Road around 4:30 a.m. on April 4 for a report of a shooting.

When they arrived, they located a man in the parking lot of an apartment complex suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as Leopold McKoy, 64, of Bear, Delaware. Detectives continue to investigate the events leading up to the shooting.
