Six charged for gun charges in Dover

DOVER, DE – The Dover Police Department arrested six subjects on firearms-related charges on Thursday evening as the result of an investigation.  Dover Police and the U.S. Marshals First State Fugitive Task Force learned that Heivyn (pronounced Heaven) Johnson (17), who was wanted on firearms charges by the Dover Police Department, was located at a residence in the 300 Block of Harmony Lane.

Officers established surveillance in the area and observed Johnson exit the residence and get inside of a black Chevrolet Suburban parked nearby.  Officers then observed Serenity Jackson (19) exit the same residence with a handgun and contact Johnson, Kevin Baynard (21), Jaquelle McDonald (24), and Amir Brudge (21) inside of the Suburban.  Jackson was later contacted on a traffic stop and taken into custody in reference to the firearms investigation.

During that traffic stop, officers observed Destiny Johnson (19) exit the black Suburban on Harmony Lane with a brown paper bag and run back inside the residence in the 300 Block of Harmony Lane.  Officers then approached the black Suburban and contacted the remaining subjects inside, taking Heivyn Johnson, Jaquelle McDonald, Kevin Baynard,  Amir Brudge, and Destiny Johnson into custody without incident.
