Virginia police investigating suspicious Eastern Shore vehicle fire death

NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, VA – On Sunday, April 18, 2021, at approximately 1:23 AM., State Police Dispatch received a call for a vehicle fire with one confirmed fatality on TB Road in Northampton County.

The 911 caller, a resident on TB Road, stated that they had observed a fire outside on the roadway. The Exmore Fire Dept. arrived and extinguished the fire, and located a deceased male inside the vehicle.

The BMW 7 Series sedan showed no indication that the vehicle had been involved in a motor vehicle crash. The body was burned beyond recognition and the registration indicated that the vehicle was sold the day before. The Virginia State Police is reaching out to the community for any witnesses driving in the area of Exmore, on or near TB Road, prior to, or after the incident, who may have possible information.
