St. Edwards student drowned after jumping off school dock

VERO BEACH, FL – A student from St. Edward’s School was pronounced dead after jumping into the lagoon from the school’s dock last night.

“An 18-year-old student from St. Ed’s has died after jumping into the lagoon from the school’s dock Friday afternoon,” the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office said.

“This is a tragic accident,” said Lt. Patrick White, adding that there did not appear to be anything criminal about the incident. The student has been identified as Bidensky Termidor.

Lt. White said Termidor jumped into the water, approximately 10 feet deep, and was underwater for four to six minutes before being discovered. A fellow student pulled him up onto the dock where CPR was started.EMS arrived on the scene and continued CPR while en route to Cleveland Clinic Indian River. Doctors at the hospital pronounced Termidor as deceased.
