This assisted living facility designed to feel like mid-twentieth century rural downtown center

For anyone who has visited a relative in a nursing home, you know that most are called, utilitarian and uninviting. They are essentially clinical environments for long term medical care.

One nursing home in Ohio has broken that mold and designed their facility to make residents feel like they are in small town America at the mid-twentieth century.

Located in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, the Lantern of Chagrin Valley brings long term care to a whole new level.

“Our mission at Lantern Senior Living is to facilitate healthy aging. We provide our senior citizen an amazing senior living experience. You will notice this idea rooted in our carefully planned building layouts, Activities programs, Amenities for entertainment, 24/7 nursing staff, and much more. Our thoughtfully designed community features, amenities and floor plans designed for our senior,” the company says.

The facility includes your standard typical long term care amenities but goes an extra mile it its hallways designed to look like a small middle-America neighborhood complete with a downtown, backyards, porches and more.
