Questions are being raised today about Derek Chauvin Juror Brandon Mitchell, 31 after a photo emerged of him wearing a Black Lives Matter hat with a t-shirt that read, “Get your knee off our neck”. The photo is from a rally in Washington, D.C last summer and that his uncle had posted it to social media.

Fox News reported, “During the jury selection process, each prospective juror is required to answer a questionnaire that includes questions about participation in demonstrations and protests.”

One of those questions reads, “Did you, or someone close to you, participate in any of the demonstrations or marches against police brutality that took place in Minneapolis after George Floyd’s death?”

Another asks,  “Other than what you have already described above, have you, or anyone close to you, participated in protests about police use of force or police brutality?”

Mitchell answered no to both questions. Chauvin’s attorneys could possibly present this evidence to the court and argue that the former police officer was not provided his right to a fair trial.

Chauvin was convicted of murdering George Floyd.
