Man shot in Tallahassee died shortly after arriving at hospital

Tallahassee- On April 29, just after 11:30 p.m., the Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) responded to the 1000 block of Basin Street in reference to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a crime scene with evidence consistent with a shooting, but no victims were on scene.

A short time later, one victim, an adult male, arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. Sadly, the victim later succumbed to his injuries. A second victim, an adult male, arrived at the scene of an unrelated traffic stop where he was immediately transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

During the ensuing investigation, TPD quickly identified two suspects as possibly being involved. A search warrant was obtained for a residence in the 1400 block of Balboa Drive where multiple items of evidentiary value were discovered. As a result, two suspects were subsequently taken into custody on charges ranging from homicide to accessory after the fact.
