JACKSON, NJ – Pay to play patronage pig and attorney Gregory P. McGuckin has lost another case for Jackson Township. Perhaps it’s because he’s too busy with his firm’s nearly 30 other political appointments where he and his partners serve as legal counsel. McGuckin represented Jackson as the township attorney in the lawsuit filed by WR property LLC against the township against a set of laws to ban eruvs and school dormitories in Jackson.
Maybe McGuckin is a better politician than he is a lawyer…Maybe with 30 other appointments, he just can’t seem to allocate the appropriate attention to matters in Jackson. Either way, he lost another big case for the town.
Today, U.S. District Judge Michael A. Shipp ruled against the township and McGuckin saying the township’s ordinances were unconsitutional.
