Suspect arrested in fatal shooting at Orlando immigration office

At 9:45 am, Orlando Police were dispatched to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services field office located at the intersection of Lee Vista and Corporate Center Boulevard. The suspect was described as Alberto Rivero-Milian, 52. It turned out to be the husband of a woman who was seen in front of the building with another man.

Police said Milian drove up in front of the building and fired a shot at the man, killing him. His wife managed to escape. Police then pursued Milian and he fled. He was eventually taken into custody after being caught in Kissimmee.

“Today’s fatal shooting outside the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services Field Office was domestic in nature. At the time of the shooting, the victim was with a female companion who was not hurt. The suspect was her ex-husband,” the Orlando Police department said. “The suspect in today’s fatal shooting outside the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services Field Office has been identified as Alberto Rivero-Milian, 52. He remains in custody in Osceola County.”
