WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Monday, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz called out Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, a cheerleader for the terrorist Palestinian organization Hamas.
“Israeli air strikes killing civilians in Gaza is an act of terrorism. Palestinians deserve protection,” Omar said. “Unlike Israel, missile defense programs, such as Iron Dome, don’t exist to protect Palestinian civilians. It’s unconscionable to not condemn these attacks on the week of Eid.”
Cruz fired his own salvo at Omar.
“Why is a Member of Congress acting as the press secretary for Hamas? Does Biden agree?” Cruz asked.
Joel Petlin, the superintendent for the Kiryas Joel School District in New York, a predominantly religious Jewish community also fired back at Omar.
“Hamas bombs Israeli civilians from Gaza and there’s crickets from Congresswoman Omar. Israel strikes back at the source of the airstrikes and there’s immediate condemnation. The outrage only seems to travel in one direction for some members of Congress,” Petlin said.
Arsen Ostrovsky, a human rights lawyer also sharply criticized Omar, “You really are just a shill for Hamas. No word, not one, at fact that it is Hamas and Palestinian terrorists in Gaza that have fired over 100 rockets at Israel tonight!”
