Absecon police investigating possible child abduction

ABSECON, NJ – Officers responded to the 1100 block of Blenheim Avenue Monday night, after receiving a report of a possible child abduction. Just before 11:00 PM on June 7th, officers combed the wooded area off of Ritz Drive at the intersection of Blenheim Avenue after receiving the report. A neighbor said they witnessed a man force a 7- or 8-year-old boy into the woods.

Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to help search for the boy, including Galloway Township Police, Pleasantville Police, and the New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit. The Absecon Fire Department provided additional assistance.
