Magnitude 2.4 earthquake rattles the Jersey Shore

LITTLE EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ – On Tuesday, a magnitude 2.4 earthquake was confirmed by the U.S. Geological Survey. The epicenter of the quake is estimated to have been in the Little Egg Harbor just east of Tuckerton Creek. The depth of the earthquake was estimated at 5.0 kilometers.
