Cuomo: There will be unvaccinated people, that’s their problem if they catch COVID-19

ALBANY, NY – New York Governor Andrew Cuomo had harsh words for unvaccinated New Yorkers and words of wisdom for those who are vaccinated.

If you’re vaccinated, you don’t have to worry about catching COVID-19 from an unvaccinated individual. If you chose not get get vaccinated, Cuomo says, “That’s your problem, not mine.”

“If you get a vaccine, you don’t have to worry about unvaccinated people,” Cuomo said. “You may not be vaccinated, but you don’t pose a risk to me because I am vaccinated. So if you are vaccinated, what are you worrying about?”


Cuomo was fielding a question from a reporter who was asking about the potential of vaccination status becoming a social class in New York city.

“If you’re worried about unvaccinated people, then get a vaccine,” Cuomo said. “There will be unvaccinated people. That’s their problem. They have to worry about catching COVID…not you.”
