COLUMBUS, OH – On June 12, 2021, at 3:26 pm, Columbus Division of Police patrol officers responded to 6200 Ambleside Drive Apt. regarding a report of a shooting. The victim, Kevin Ankum, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. During the investigation, it was learned the suspect, 36-year-old Princess A. Brown, and Ankum had gotten into an argument. During the argument, Brown removed a handgun from her pants pocket. Brown then stepped towards Ankum, slipped and fell into him, and discharged the handgun twice.
On June 17, 2021 at 10:45am, Ankum, 41 was pronounced deceased at Riverside Hospital.
