Woman charged for April murder in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has concluded a recent murder investigation leading to the arrest of a 30-year-old female. On Saturday, April 10, 2021 just before 10:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Kennard Street in reference to a possible burglary.

Upon arrival, officers located the 36-year-old victim who appeared to have been shot. Members of the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. The Homicide and Crime Scene Units were notified and responded to conduct their respective investigations. Investigative efforts led detectives to a possible person of interest, Jasman Marie Evans (Black/Female, 30). Jasman Marie Evans was subsequently arrested for Murder in the shooting death of the victim.
