Police officer struck and killed while attempting to stop BOLO vehicle

PEA RIDGE, AK – Pea Ridge Police Officer Kevin Apple was struck and killed by a vehicle he was trying to stop, according to the Pea Ridge Police Department.

“Officer Apple has been in law enforcement for 23 years.has been in law enforcement for 23 years. The last 3 of those years have been with the Pea Ridge Police Department,” the department said.

Shawna Rhae Cash, 22, of Pine Bluff and Elijah Anadoloza Sr., 18, of Bella Vista were arrested for Officer Apple’s death.

On Saturday, Officer Apple and Officer Brian Stamps attempted to make contact with a vehicle that Rogers Police Department had a B.O.L.O out on. During the incident, Officer Apple was ran over and pronounced deceased on scene.


“Many have reached out to show their support for the family of Officer Apple and the Pea Ridge Police Department. The Pea Ridge Police Department will be providing more information on their Facebook page on how you can support his family and the Pea Ridge Police Department,” the department said. “Tonight there will be a Candlelight Vigil held at the Pea Ridge City Park at 8:30pm. All are welcome. Tomorrow morning, at 7:00am, the body of Officer Apple will be escorted from the Benton County Corners Office, located at 1275 Melissa Dr. Bentonville Ar. to the Arkansas State Crime Lab in Little Rock.”
