Wilmington police searching for murder suspect

Wilmington, DE – On Wednesday, June 2nd at approximately 4:00 p.m. patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the area of the 300 block of Cedar Avenue, in the community of Cedar Heights for the report of a shooting.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the victim who suffered from a gunshot wound to the upper body. The officers attempted First Aid however the victim had already succumbed to his wound. Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation.

The investigation has revealed that the vehicle in the photograph was in the vicinity of the scene at the time of the incident. The investigators are requesting that anyone with information pertaining to this vehicle or the identity of its occupants to please contact Det.
