Gunshots at Washington Nationals Game Leads to Stadium Evacuation

Phil Stilton

WASHINGTON, DC – A shooting occurred at a Washington Nationals baseball game in Washington, D.C. tonight.

“A shooting has been reported outside of the Third Base Gate at Nationals Park. Fans are encouraged to exit the ballpark via the CF and RF gates at this time. We’re working with law enforcement to provide more information as soon as it becomes available,” the Nationals said in a statement moments ago.

This was not the first time a shooting occurred near the stadium that put players and fans on alert. On July 28, 2020, there was an active shooter incident in the afternoon which caused a shelter in place for Nats players in their hotel rooms.
