Man shot and killed in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD – On July 17, 2021, at approximately 11:24 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Ashton Street to investigate a “Shot Spotter” alert for reported gunfire. Responding officers located a male suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center by ambulance and pronounced dead by medical personnel shortly after arrival.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over the investigation. The victim’s identity is unknown at this time. Anyone with information is urged to contact Homicide detectives, at 410-396-2100.
