Car stolen on LBI recovered after striking trailers, boat

SHIP BOTTOM, NJ – On Monday at approximately 1:46 am Long Beach Township had a vehicle stolen out of their town. As the stolen vehicle was traveling 72 Westbound it came into contact with a road sign, then struck several boat trailers and a boat that was parked at Hochstrasser Marina.

A subject was arrested and transported to the Long Beach Township Police Department with minor injuries. The case is currently being investigated by the Long Beach Police Department, Ship Bottom Police Department, Ocean County Sheriff’s CIU unit, and the Ocean County Prosecutors Office.

Police did not release the name or age of the suspect.
