89 new COVID-19 cases reported in Ocean County, highest daily total since April

TOMS RIVER, NJ – COVID-19 cases are once again increasing in Ocean County. On Friday, the Ocean County Health Department reported 89 new cases, allegedly mostly unvaccinated individuals. The county totals did not include the severity of the new cases or hospitalization status.

The 89 news cases represented a continued increase in cases in Ocean County and the highest single-day caseload since April 29th.

8 new cases were reported in Jackson, 7 each in Toms River and Lakewood, and 9 new cases in Brick. There were 4 recorded deaths from Covid-19 in Ocean County as well this week.


COVID-19 numbers in Ocean County are still significantly below the winter second wave where daily totals numbered 400 to 500 per day.
