Meth dealer caught during suspicious vehicle search in Rocky Creek

GEORGE COUNTY, MS – George County Sheriff Keith Havard states that on Wednesday, July 14th, 2021, Agents with the Southeast Mississippi Narcotics Task Force were investigating a suspicious vehicle near the Rocky Creek Inn on Highway 98, in the Rocky Creek community of George County, MS.

During the course of the investigation, a suspect attempted to flee and led Agents on a foot pursuit. Ronnie Lee Moye (41) of Lucedale, MS, was apprehended and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute (Methamphetamine).

He is currently in custody at the George County Regional Correctional Facility, where he is being held on his charges following a bond revocation. Moye is also being held on a Mississippi Department of Corrections warrant for Violation of Parole.

The Southeast Mississippi Narcotics Task Force is investigating both cases.
