TULSA, OK – Early this morning, officers were called out to a shooting at DD’s Double Shots near 11th and Maplewood.

When officers arrived, they found the bar’s DJ/Bouncer, 38-year-old Nathan Hull, dead from a gunshot wound to the chest. Through the investigation, detectives learned Hull and another witness stepped outside to smoke when they found Chris Bratton possibly attempting to break into cars. Nathan Hull and the witness told Bratton to leave. Bratton then pulled out a gun and fired twice, hitting Hull in the chest.

Several bar patrons followed Bratton to a nearby convenience store where Bratton tried to hide his gun in the purse of a stranger. Officers arrested him on the scene and retrieved the weapon. In an interview with detectives, Bratton confessed to the murder. Bratton was arrested for 1st Degree Murder and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon AFCF.
