Man who tried to rape disabled hospital patient pleads guilty

BUFFALO, NY – Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 28-year-old Dorian R. Harold of Buffalo pleaded guilty yesterday morning before Erie County Court Judge Susan Eagan to one count of Attempted Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree (Class ā€œCā€ felony).

On Monday, May 6, 2019, at approximately 11:00 p.m., the defendant, while a patient at ECMC, attempted to forcibly engage in sexual conduct with another patient who was physically disabled.

Harold faces a maximum of 15 years in prison when he is sentenced on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 10:15 a.m. The defendant remains in custody on $30,000.00 bail.

DA Flynn commends retired Det. Joseph Ahmed of the Buffalo Police Department Special Victims Unit for his work in the investigation.


The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Bethany A. Solek of the Special Victims/Domestic Violence Bureau.
