FRESNO, CA – Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies have booked 30-year-old Caleb Ivey into the Fresno County Jail. He faces charges of robbery, auto theft and evading police.

He also has 13 active arrest warrants out of Kings County.

At 7:45 am Friday, Fresno County Sheriff’s dispatchers received a report of an armed robbery on W. Mount Whitney Ave. in Riverdale. The suspect, later identified as Caleb Ivey, threatened the victim with a screwdriver and stole cash from them.

Ivey took off on a stolen motorcycle and headed northbound on Highway 41. That is where deputies spotted him going more than 100 mph. While following Ivey, they observed him run red lights, lose his helmet and nearly fall off as he tried to weave through traffic. Deputies and CHP officers caught up to Ivey when he stopped near Hwy. 41 and Jensen due to his motorcycle running out of gas. Deputies arrested him and arranged the return of the stolen bike to its owner.
