$100,000 lottery ticket sold at Silver Spring liquor store

A lucky Powerball player enjoyed a delightful Saturday night, winning a $100,000 third-tier prize in the July 31 drawing. Although no one hit the jackpot, Maryland had 17,108 winners in the drawing, including 2,826 players who added the Power Play feature to their tickets.

The Maryland Lottery is looking for the lucky player who bought the $100,000-winning Power Play ticket at Old World Favorites located at 3854 International Drive in Silver Spring. The winning numbers to match were 1, 21, 22, 34 and 47; the Powerball was 4 and the Power Play multiplier was x2. This year, the state has now had 35 third-tier Powerball winners.

Lottery officials encourage all of the winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

The $100,000 winner can claim the prize by mail or in person by appointment at Maryland Lottery headquarters, 1800 Washington Blvd., Baltimore.

No one hit the jackpot Saturday night so the Powerball jackpot has rolled to $211 million for the Wednesday, Aug. 4 drawing. The cash option is $153.9 million.
