Woman charged for violently shaking crying baby demanding somebody “shut the child up”

LYNN HAVEN, MA – Lynn Haven Police today announced the arrest of a Calhoun County, Florida woman on felony charges of child abuse. During a recent visit to a Lynn Haven home, twenty-four-year-old, Breonna Danyelle Hogan who listed an address in Blountstown, Florida is alleged to have lifted an 18-month-old child by its right arm and then violently shaking the child in an up and down motion while she demanded that someone shut the crying child up.

A warrant was issued for Hogans’ arrest and she was taken into custody without incident today by members of the U.S. Marshal’s Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office. Hogan will be extradited back to Bay County to face these charges.
