Longtime feud between neighbors ends in gunfire at Muirwood Village Apartments

COLUMBUS, OH – On August 12, 2021 at approximately 11:24 a.m., Columbus Police Patrol officers were dispatched to 3255 Haddington Drive on a report of a shooting. Upon the officer’s arrival, they located Bradley Curry suffering from a gunshot wound to his right side.

Mr. Curry stated he was approaching his garage when a neighbor he had past disputes with, later identified as Jefffery Jones, exited his house and fired multiple gunshots at Mr. Curry striking him in the right side.

Mr. Curry stated Mr. Jones then continued firing at him as Mr. Jones was leaving the complex so Mr. Curry fired several gunshots back at Mr. Jones in self-defense, but no other injuries were reported. Officers took Mr. Jones into custody at scene and he admitted to firing multiple gunshots at Mr. Curry.


Mr. Curry was transported to Mt. Carmel East where he was treated and released for his gunshot wound.
