BRICK TOWNSHIP, NJ – A voyeur was caught by police after allegedly taking pictures under women’s dresses with his cell phone.

According to Brick Police, on Tuesday evening, just past 7:30 P.M., Officers Scott Smith, Harry Theibault and Cody Oliverio responded to Shoprite in Kohl’s Plaza for a report of upskirting.

The suspect, Donald Sheridan, 62 years old from Brick, police say, was observed by a witness who claim to have seen him crouched to the floor, holding his cell phone under the dress of a female victim. The witness immediately confronted Sheridan, yelling, “I know what you’re doing.” The witness stayed with Sheridan while the victim advised store personnel to call the police.

Officers arrived on the scene, conducted interviews, reviewed the security footage of the incident, in which Sheridan can be clearly seen positioning himself to hold his cell phone under the victim’s dress, and placed Sheridan under arrest for Invasion of Privacy.

Sheridan was processed and released on a Summons. zThe victim’s and witness’s names are being withheld to protect the dignity and privacy of those involved. The Brick Township Police commend this witness for getting involved and acknowledge that public safety is best served when the police and community work as a team.
