Man charged after dumping New York woman’s body in Ridgefield Park

RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ – Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Aquellio Parker, Springfield Gardens, New York on charges related to disturbing, moving, and concealing human remains. The arrest is the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office under the direction of Sheriff Anthony Cureton, and the Ridgefield Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Joseph Rella.

On Friday, August 13, 2021, at 10:38 a.m., the Ridgefield Park Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious large plastic container left in the area of Hobart Street and Teaneck Road, Ridgefield Park, NJ. Inside the plastic container, officers discovered human remains. The victim was later identified as 44-year-old Nicole Flanagan of 5019 108 Street, Corona, New York. An investigation revealed that Parker assisted in moving the human remains of Nicole Flanagan from New York to Ridgefield Park.

On Thursday, August 19, 2021, Parker was charged with one count of second-degree being an accomplice to disturbing, moving and/or concealing human remains, N.J.S.A. 2C:22-1a(1)/2C:2-6; one count of second-degree being an accomplice to desecrating, damaging and/or destroying human remains, N.J.S.A. 2C:22-1a(2)/2C:2-6; and one count of second-degree conspiring with a co-defendant to disturb, move, conceal and/or desecrate a deceased body, N.J.S.A. 2C:22-1a(1)/2C:5-2. On Sunday, August 22, 2021, Parker turned himself in to the New York Police Department, where he is being held pending extradition.
