Watch: Trump delivers the message that Biden should have after Kabul terror attack

Phil Stilton

Former U.S. President Donald J. Trump said that the attack at Kabul Airport that killed 13 U.S. service members would never have happened if he was in charge and offered condolences to the families of those affected in the attack.

“They sacrificed themselves for the country they loved. They died as American heroes,” Trump said of the victims lost in the terrorist attack.

“This incident should not have happened and would not have happened if I were your President,” Trump said. “Over the past few weeks, many Americans have felt profound sorrow and even pain watching the events in Afghanistan, if none more so, than the veterans of that 20-year war.”

Trump said GWOT veterans should know that their sacrifices were not made in vain.

“We know what you did and we know how brave you were,” Trump said. “God Bless America.”
