Man shot in Columbus parking lot recovering after surgery

COLUMBUS, OH – On August 29, 2021, at 5:08am, Columbus Police Patrol officers responded to the area of E. Deshler Ave. and Courtright Rd. on the report of shots fired in the area.

Officers immediately checked an after-hours located within the MacTai Center located in the 3500 Block of Refugee Road.

Upon arrival, officers located several spent shell casings in the rear parking ot and detained several witnesses. 33-year-old Angelo Roberts was dropped off at Grant Hospital by unknown means with a gunshot wound to his right leg. Roberts was taken into surgery and expected to recover.
