Marine Staff Sgt. busted selling cocaine outside PX

CAMP LEJEUNE, NC – On September 1, 2021, Onslow County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit assisted Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), the U.S. Marine Corps Provost Marshal Office-Criminal Investigation Division, Camp Lejeune, with a narcotics investigation involving an active duty marine.

During the operation, all three agencies observed a suspected narcotics transaction taking place at the Marine Corps Exchange, Camp Lejeune. Further investigation revealed that SSgt. Douglas Bryant Mosley sold 28 grams of powder cocaine in the parking lot area of the Marine Corps Exchange.

A search warrant was obtained for Mosley’s residence on Boyington Place in Midway Park. During the search, investigators located (2) firearms, (10) pills of Schedule II Controlled Substance (Hydrocodone and Oxycodone), (4) vials of Anabolic Steroids and approximately .3 of a gram of powder cocaine.


Mosley was arrested and charged with: Trafficking Cocaine by Possession; Trafficking Cocaine by Transport; Trafficking Cocaine by Manufacturing; Trafficking Cocaine by Sale; Trafficking Cocaine by Delivery; Maintaining a Vehicle to Store Controlled Substance; Trafficking Schedule II-Hydrocodone/Oxycodone; Maintaining a Dwelling to Store Controlled Substance; Possession of Cocaine; Possession of Schedule III Controlled Substance (Anabolic Steroids); (2) Counts Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and various violations of Uniform Code of Military Justice

Mosley, 27 years old of Boyington Place in Midway Park was released to his Command and transported to the Camp Lejeune Correctional Facility for pre-trial confinement.
