Del Rio Sector Border Patrol Agents Arrest Convicted Sex Offender

EAGLE PASS, Texas – Del Rio Sector U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested a convicted sex offender, August 30.

Eagle Pass Station agents, patrolling near Camino Real International Bridge, arrested Robison Lopez-Morales, 29, a citizen of Guatemala, shortly after he entered the United States by illegally crossing the Rio Grande River.

During processing at the Eagle Pass South Centralized Processing Center, records checks revealed that in April 2019 Lopez-Morales was convicted of attempted sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years of age, in Baldwin County, Alabama. Following his conviction, Lopez-Morales was subsequently taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and deported in June 2019.


As a convicted felon, he faces a charge of 8 USC § 1326 – re-entry after deportation.
