Baltimore Woman Visiting Friend Finds Lottery Luck in Bingo Scratch-off

Baltimore, MD – Visiting a friend last week resulted in more than just the sharing of goodwill for a Baltimore woman. That get together put her in the right place at the right time to become the latest to win a $50,000 top prize playing Gold Bar Bingo, a popular $5 scratch-off game.

“I love scratch tickets,” said the retired St. Agnes Hospital employee, “so when I was leaving my friend’s house and saw the Lottery store, I checked to see if they had any.” Luckily for her, the Boss Cash Lottery retailer in Baltimore did! She bought the one of the Gold Bar Bingo games and scratched it off in the store.

“I just went bananas when I saw the $50,000,” said the 73-year-old. “I stopped myself, though, in case I was reading the ticket wrong.” Moments later, the celebration resumed when the store cashier confirmed her big win.

Our winner plans to pay off her home with her windfall. “It’ll be a huge relief to get this done and behind me.” She has had some difficulty, however, convincing her daughters that Lottery luck really did visit her. “They came over to see the ticket, they studied it and the Lottery website, but they just can’t accept that it’s happened.”

The owners of Boss Cash at 1700 Pennsylvania Avenue are celebrating, too. They earned a $500 bonus for selling a $50,000 top-prize winning scratch-off. The Gold Bar Bingo 2nd Edition game, which debuted in July, still has six more top prizes awaiting discovery along with nine $10,000 second-tier prizes.
