Uber driver showed gun after expressing disapproval of gay couple at University of Arkansas

UAPD is investigating an incident in which an Uber driver allegedly displayed a firearm after two passengers, both students, had exited the vehicle. Initial reports indicate that during a verbal exchange, the driver is alleged to have used offensive language related to same-sex relationships when the passengers requested a change in destination. The driver ordered the passengers to exit the vehicle.

All occupants then left the vehicle as the argument continued. The driver then allegedly displayed a firearm before getting back in the vehicle and driving away. The incident reportedly occurred near the intersection of Razorback Road and Meadow Street. Please be alert and cautious.
