OKALOOSA COUNTY, FL – An extensive search conducted for Brian Laundrie is wrapping up today in Okaloosa County, Florida after a hunter’s trail cam caught a video of a man matching Laundrie’s appearance.

The Okaloosa Sheriffs Department is now saying whoever it was on the camera is no longer in the area, or could not be found or identified.

“The OCSO is wrapping up an extensive search that took place in this area to include nearby farmlands. No one – and nothing – of note was located. The individual referenced in the post below has no known ties to our area,” the department said.

“I’m not saying this is the guy but whoever was on my trail camera this morning in Baker, Fl strongly fits the description of Brian Laundrie, authorities have been contacted but people in the North West Florida area be on the look out,” the hunter said when he shared the photo with the department.

“Yes, we wanted to let you know we are aware of this report and are actively checking it out. There is no confirmation of this information. Obviously we will keep everyone in the loop if and when there is anything to report,” the agency responded.

Baker is a 7-hour drive from Laundrie’s home in North Point.
