Dead body found in Hamilton, victim of multiple gunshot wounds

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Hamilton Police Division are investigating a shooting homicide in Hamilton, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported.

At approximately 8:20 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021, Hamilton patrol officers located a deceased male in a parked vehicle on Rosaloe Avenue, adjacent to Victor Avenue.  The victim, identified as Dashawn Womack, 39, of Hamilton, suffered two gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.  Anyone with information is asked to contact MCHTF Detective Shawn Bruton at (609) 989-6406.  Information can also be emailed to mchtftips@mercercounty.org.
