TALLAHASSEE – The Florida Lottery announces that Jeffory Dodd, 50, of Milton, claimed a $1 million top prize from THE FASTEST ROAD TO $1,000,000 Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $790,000.00.

“It hasn’t fully sunk in yet,” Dodd told the Florida Lottery. “I plan to buy a house and a new truck with the money, but I really haven’t made many plans beyond that.”

Dodd purchased his winning ticket from Circle K, located at 5190 Ward Basin Road in Milton. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 75 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $1.3 billion for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2020-21.
