Taliban warns U.S. against airspace violations, drone flights

KABUL, AFGHANISTAN – The Taliban have issued a stern warning to the United States to stop flying unmanned drones over Afghanistan, or it will face the consequences. The U.S., the terror regime said is being accused of violating the Taliban’s sovereign air space by flying surveillance drones into the country.

The flights, the Taliban claim are in violation of the peace accord signed between the two countries.

“The Taliban has warned of consequences if the US does not stop flying drones over Afghanistan. The group has accused Washington of violating international law,” CNA reports. “They said it also breaches commitments made to the Taliban during peace talks in Qatar. Despite pulling troops out of Afghanistan, the Pentagon has said it will continue airstrikes against the Islamic State and other terror groups.”

The U.S. “over the horizon” strategy relies on unmanned drone flights since the Americans have no assets on the ground in Afghanistan since the botched withdrawal of forces in August. The U.S. evacuated its embassy in Afghanistan and has no diplomats in the country.
