Driver Identified in Hit and Run in Dorchester

DORCHESTER, MASSACHUSETS – The driver of the motor vehicle involved in the hit and run has been identified. Detectives will be seeking complaints in Roxbury District Court.

INCIDENT: At about 7:23 AM, Officers from District B2 responded to a call for a child that was struck by a vehicle at Columbia Road and Intervale Street. The operator of the above motor vehicle did not stop and fled the scene following the incident. Detectives assigned to District B2 obtained surveillance video and were informed that the vehicle’s front passenger quarter panel was damaged along with the hood. The passenger side headlight is also believed to be broken. It is believed that the vehicle is a white GMC SUV that has two sunroofs and a roof rack.

Detectives assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury/Dorchester) are actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and are urging anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact 617) 343-4275.
