BOSTON, MASSACHUSETS – At about 12:08 AM on October 2, 2021, Officers assigned to District C-11 responded to a radio call for a person with a gun and made an on-site arrest of Angello Norvelus, 34, of Mattapan, and Peterson Saintil, 26, of Milton on firearm and ammunition charges.

Officers responded to a call for a person with a gun in the area of 69 Bailey Street. Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle matching the description provided to 911. Officers observed Saintil standing outside of the vehicle, and Norvelus, seated inside of the vehicle. Officers approached the vehicle and, due to the nature of the call, gave Norvelus commands to exit the vehicle. Officers pat-frisked Norvelus with negative results. Officers observed a firearm in the immediate area around Saintil and placed him into custody without incident. Officers additionally located a single round of ammunition inside of the vehicle. Norvelus was placed into custody without incident.

The recovered firearm was a Smith and Wesson Walther PK 380hand gun. Officers recovered one (1) round of .380 ammunition from inside of the vehicle.

Saintil is to be charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Norvelus is to be charged with Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.

Saintil and Norvelus are both expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
