Man shot in Columbus recovering in stable condition

COLUMBUS, OH – On Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 8:11pm, Columbus Police Patrol officers were dispatched to the area of S. James Rd. and S. Ashburton Rd. on the report of a shooting. Officers located the victim, 20-year-old Tyrese Shute, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital in stable condition for treatment.Shute stated that as he was walking in the alley with friends, he heard several gunshots. Shute was then struck in the upper body. He and his friends were able to run from the area and call police.
