Suspect Arrested in Connection With Dorchester Shooting

BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS – Officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force and District B2 arrested Tyreem Horton, 27, of Dorchester, in connection to an Aggravated Assault that occurred at 622 Dudley Street.

At about 12:05 AM on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, Officers assigned to District B2 responded to a Shot Spotter Activation in the area of 622 Dudley Street. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. As a result of an investigation conducted by B2 Detectives, an arrest warrant was applied for and granted out of Roxbury District Court. On October 8, 2021, Horton was taken into custody by the Youth Violence Strike Force without incident.

Horton is to be charged with Armed Assault to Murder, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Possession of Ammunition without an FID card, Firearm with 500 Feet of a Dwelling. Tyreem Horton is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
